Job Description
As a Line Cook, you will act as a key member of the Food & Beverage team. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the team in daily operations and functions on-site as well as maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the daily operations in the banquet/food outlet kitchens
- Food prep for all types of functions
- Maintain sanitation at all times
- Prepare foods according to the menus and contracts
- Assist with the team in receiving and rotating stock
- Ensure supplies are available
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times
- Responsible for clean-up duties at the end of your shift
- Maintain all kitchen equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance
- Preparing recipes as directed
- Must take direction well
- Cleanliness of kitchen and walk-in
- Responsible for setting a good example and ensuring staff abides by safety, sanitation standards and practices
Qualifications
- Must be available for all shifts including evenings and weekends
- Able to lift up to 50lbs
- Proper knife skills
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment and functions
- Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced and efficient manor
- Must have the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
- Expected to work long hours while on your feet in a hot, humid environment
