Job Description

As a Line Cook, you will act as a key member of the Food & Beverage team. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for assisting the team in daily operations and functions on-site as well as maintaining a safe and clean environment.

 Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily operations in the banquet/food outlet kitchens
  • Food prep for all types of functions
  • Maintain sanitation at all times
  • Prepare foods according to the menus and contracts
  • Assist with the team in receiving and rotating stock
  • Ensure supplies are available
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace at all times
  • Responsible for clean-up duties at the end of your shift
  • Maintain all kitchen equipment cleanliness and annual maintenance
  • Preparing recipes as directed
  • Must take direction well
  • Cleanliness of kitchen and walk-in
  • Responsible for setting a good example and ensuring staff abides by safety, sanitation standards and practices

Qualifications

  • Must be available for all shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Proper knife skills
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment and functions
  • Knowledge of nutrition and dietary requirements
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced and efficient manor
  • Must have the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
  • Expected to work long hours while on your feet in a hot, humid environment
